1 - iCG70T UPDATE
Action Required Before January 1, 2025
Starting January 1, 2025, the initialization of the tilt compensation functionality for the GNSS sensor iCG70T will no longer be possible. The sensor will continue to provide positions, but users will need to manually level the bubble during measurements.
Action Required
To avoid any disruption, iCG70T customers must update their devices to the following iCON GNSS firmware version by December 31, 2024 at the latest.
- Firmware Version: iCG70 V8.80.61
- Maintenance Date: 01.06.2022
Software Update Conditions
- If you have a CCP with an end date later than June 1, 2022, you can update your device to version V8.80.61 for free.
- If you do not have an active CCP, you will need to purchase a new CCP for the antenna only to proceed with the update.
Important Update:
To obtain the latest version of the iCG70 that allows you to continue using the tilt sensor, the device maintenance date must be June 1, 2022, or later.
If your device’s maintenance date is earlier, two options are available:
- Purchase new CCPs for your iCON antenna and tablet. This will provide access to the latest updates and optimize your system’s performance.
- Perform a minimal update: With this option, Leica will provide a free CCP dated June 1, 2022. This update will allow you to apply the necessary fixes to continue using your device to its full capacity.
Additionally, the iCG70 must be connected to a controller running at least iCONSITE-BUILD version 7.0 to ensure full compatibility with the corrective update.
Steps for Updating the Software
GNSS sensors iCG70 and 70T must be updated manually.
